Local Man Delighted After Winning $111K Lotto Max Jackpot

Michael Steele, a retiree from Barrie, Ontario, has won an impressive $111,509.90 in the Lotto Max second prize from the November 8, 2024 draw. This win marks a significant milestone for Michael, who has been a loyal Lotto Max player since the game’s debut in 2009.

How Michael Won His Big Prize

Michael, who regularly uses the OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections, had no idea his ticket was a winner. “My wife ran upstairs and told me I had an email from OLG saying that I had won on my Lotto Max ticket,” Michael recalled. “I leaped out of bed to read the email for myself. I thought it said I had won $111.50, but I missed a few zeros!”

He and his wife were initially shocked by the news. “It was definitely worth the effort of buying a ticket. You just never know what will happen,” he said, reflecting on the surprise of his big win.
